Description:
Theobjective of this assignment is to conduct key assessments to inform the designof a World Bank-supported operation to be led by NAFIN which would providefinancing and technical assistance support, through local financialinstitutions, to support Mexican SMEs- integration - or deepen theirintegration - in global value chains by improving theirsustainable/environmental performance. The project would seek to leverage“near-shoring” opportunities by helping Mexican SMEs position themselves to meetmulti-nationals- increasing demand for working with “green”/”sustainable” localsuppliers. To this end, the project would support sustainability/greencertification of Mexican SMEs aligned with relevant national and internationalstandards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISSB, CINIF, USMCA commercial agreements, or theMexican Sustainable Taxonomy).
